We recently collaborated with Facelift Home Improvements, completing a full conservatory transformation for a homeowner looking to upgrade their existing space into a comfortable room that could be enjoyed throughout the year.
Project Overview
The project began with the installation of scaffolding, providing safe, full access to the existing conservatory structure. The original roof, windows, and doors were then carefully removed, while the existing base and brickwork were retained to minimise disruption and maintain structural integrity.
Once the site was cleared of all waste materials, Facelift Home Improvements began work on enhancing the structure. The dwarf walls were raised to approximately 1000mm using closely matched brickwork, improving both the overall appearance and thermal performance of the space.
The key feature of the transformation was the installation of a SupaLite Tiled Roof System, finished with Tapco lightweight tiles. SkyVista Glass Panels were integrated into the design to maximise natural light, ensuring the room remained bright and inviting while benefiting from significantly improved insulation.
A high-performance insulation system was incorporated throughout the roof, including insulation between and above the rafters, helping to create a comfortable internal temperature year-round. Internally, the ceiling was finished with plasterboard and plaster for a seamless look that blends effortlessly with the rest of the home. Code 4 lead flashing was installed where the new roof meets the existing property, providing a secure and weatherproof finish.
The end result is a stylish, thermally efficient room that can be enjoyed throughout the year. With coordinated windows, doors, and a garage door, the transformation enhances both the functionality and overall appearance of the property – creating a space that truly feels like an extension of the home.
