Project Overview
The young homeowners had just moved into their new home, and were keen to breathe new life into the tired, outdated lean-to conservatory. With its low ceiling and limited natural light, the space felt cramped and uninviting – far from the versatile, year-round room they wanted.

When Steve, a representative from Lightweight Roofing Solutions, visited the property, he recommended a full redesign – transforming the structure from a lean-to, to an Edwardian style conservatory – finished with a SupaLite tiled roof.
Unlike the original layout, an Edwardian Conservatory features a classic rectangular shape and a high-pitched roof. This instantly maximises internal height and floods the space with natural light, making it feel significantly more open and inviting.
To support the new structure, the existing windows and French doors were also replaced. The original units sat too low to accommodate the vaulted ceiling and contributed to the boxed-in feel of the room.
The result? A beautifully modern conservatory with high ceilings, enhanced energy performance, and a completely transformed sense of space.
