Project Overview

The homeowners had fallen out of love with their old polycarbonate conservatory. Uncomfortably hot in summer, freezing cold in winter and unable to block out the noise of rain and passing traffic, the space had become a room they rarely wanted to use.

Their first thought was to demolish the conservatory and build a new extension using the same footprint. However, with quotations reaching around £60,000, this option was simply beyond their budget.

While researching more affordable alternatives, they discovered the SupaLite Tiled Roof System. The conservatory was built around 20 to 25 years ago. It had a polycarbonate roof and was very cold in winter and quite hot in summer. With the noise of heavy rainfall, you could not hear yourself speak. It was time that we made a change.

We looked at all the different options, from installing another polycarbonate roof to having a glass roof or choosing the SupaLite solution you see today. The SupaLite roof allowed us to reduce the U-value, gain Building Control approval and have the work certified.
