Recently, we partnered with Lane & Peach, revitalising an old, leaking conservatory into a stunning year-round living space. The result is a modern, cosy space the homeowners love.

Project Overview

The homeowners had an existing lean-to timber conservatory in good condition, but the upkeep was becoming difficult, and the roof was beginning to leak in places.

They had a wooden hardwood conservatory with a glass roof.  Although the structure was sound the roof needed replacing. The homeowners wanted to make the conservatory into more of a year-round room with a better insulated roof.

Before approaching Lane & Peach, the homeowners had really done their research into different solid roof systems and felt the SupaLite roof was right for them – it ticked all the boxes to achieving their vision.

As you are unable to put a SupaLite roof onto a wooden structure, they opted for an aluminium frame onto the existing brickwork, which enabled them to have a SupaLite roof.

Using the existing base, Lane & Peach removed the roof and frames, and modern black and white aluminium frames with were installed. Even though the main property has a concreate tile roof, they liked the look of the slate and chose Pewter Grey slate which looks great with the frames and smooth black fascia & guttering.

The homeowners opted not to include any SKyVista’s and were a little concerned initially that it would make the house feel dark, but once the ceiling had been painted, they were very pleased with the result.

They have also made the space feel extra cosy in the evenings with lamp lighting rather than opting for spotlights in the slanted ceiling.

The homeowners are extremely pleased with the finished result and are looking forward to being able to spend much more time in new renovated space over the winter months.

We collaborated closely with Lane & Peach to design a roof that aligned perfectly with the homeowner’s vision, ensuring complete satisfaction from concept to completion.

After receiving the drawings, we recreated them in our CAD software to ensure the roof designs were precise and tailored to the project’s exact requirements. Once approved, we began building the bespoke roof which we delivered in kit form to site, on time and in full, all within 7 working days.
